Erling Haaland signs incredible ten-year Man City contract!
“I also want to thank Pep [Guardiola], his coaching staff, my teammates and everyone at the Club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years. They have made this such a special place to be and now I am City no matter what. I want to keep developing, keep working to get better and look to do my best to try and help us achieve more success going forward.”
Real Madrid had long been linked with Haaland and it had been suggested they could trigger a release clause in his previous contract, but any such exit clauses are said to have been removed from this new deal.
If he remains at Etihad for the entire duration of his new contract, Haaland will definitely be in with a shout of beating Alan Shearer’s record for most goals in the Premier League. The Newcastle legend’s tally stands at 260, with Haaland already on 79.
