Harry Kane achieved yet another milestone as he scored four times for Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The England captain broke the deadlock for Bayern Munich against Dinamo Zagreb in the 19th minute when he comfortably converted a spot-kick. With the strike, Kane reached the 50-goal mark for the Bavarian side across all competitions and also matched Wayne Rooney’s tally of 30 goals in the Champions League, the most scored by an English footballer. In the second half, Kane went flying past his compatriot’s tally as he another three times to take his tally to four in the match.

Before Kane scored the goal, Serge Gnabry had found the back of the net. However, after a VAR check, the German’s goal was overturned but Bayern earned the penalty as the referee detected that Aleksandar Pavlovic was fouled inside the box. Soon after the Englishman netted the opener, Raphael Guerreiro doubled their lead before Michael Olise added to the team’s tally a few minutes before half-time. Olise scored again in the second half to also make it a Champions League debut to remember for the Frenchman.

Out of the 33 Champions League goals, Kane has scored 12 for Bayern Munich while the remaining 21 came for Tottenham Hotspur. He scored his maiden goal of the competition in 2016 against AS Monaco.

Vincent Kompany’s side will be back in action in the Bundesliga on Saturday as they take on Werder Bremen away from home.
