Barcelona defender Jules Kounde‘s house was reportedly broken into while he was playing against Villarreal on Saturday night.

Kounde played the whole game as Barcelona lost 5-3 at home to Villarreal.

According to RAC 1, Kounde’s home was targeted by a ‘robbery with force’.

It hasn’t yet been disclosed which items were stolen from the 25-year-old’s house.

In April last year, Kounde was also the victim of a robbery at his home.

Kounde signed for Barcelona in 2022, having previously played for Sevilla and Bordeaux.

In total, the France international has played 67 times for Barcelona. He won the LaLiga title last season.

Barcelona manager Xavi announced after the defeat to Villarreal that he will leave the club at the end of the season.

It was a hugely eventful game on Saturday, with Barcelona leading 3-2 in the closing stages only to end up losing.

Goals from Gerard Moreno and Ilias Akhomach put Villarreal in the ascendancy before Barcelona took control of the game through strikes from Ilkay Gundogan and Pedri as well as an own goal from Eric Bailly.

However, Villarreal equalised as Goncalo Guedes scored and they then proceeded to win as Alexander Sorloth and Jose Luis Morales found the net.
